Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Roundrop app and roundrop.in website (together, the “Service”), operated by Abhay Kumar Shukla, sole proprietor, trading as Roundrop(“Roundrop”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
[REVIEW]These Terms are drafted from the actual product behaviour (build specification) to be accurate about how the platform works, but have not been reviewed by legal counsel. The MoRTH 2020 aggregator framework, limitation-of-liability language, and dispute/arbitration clauses below should be finalised with a lawyer before this is relied on as a binding contract at scale.1. What Roundrop is
Roundrop is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects independent truck drivers who have spare capacity on a journey they are already making with shippers — mainly MSMEs, farmers, and small businesses — who need to move goods along that route. We are launching on the Delhi–Jaipur corridor.
Roundrop is not a carrier. We do not own trucks, employ drivers, or take possession of cargo. We operate the platform that lets drivers and shippers find each other, agree a price, and transact safely — matching, pricing, identity verification, in-trip tracking, and payment escrow.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You must complete phone number verification (OTP) to create an account.
- Drivers must complete Aadhaar, driving licence, and vehicle registration (RC) verification before publishing a journey. Shippers must complete Aadhaar verification before their first booking.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
3. Bookings and pricing
Drivers set a price per kilogram when posting a journey; Roundrop suggests a starting price based on route distance, time, tolls, and prevailing market rates, but the driver controls the final price within a fair range. Full pricing mechanics are on our Pricing page.
A booking is confirmed only once payment is made and held in escrow (see Section 4). Cancellation and refund terms are set out on our Cancellation & Refunds page, which forms part of these Terms.
4. Payments and escrow
Payments are processed by Razorpay. When a shipper pays for a booking, the driver’s share is held on hold in escrow and released to the driver only after the shipper’s delivery confirmation code is entered at delivery. Roundrop never takes custody of your funds directly — Razorpay Route holds and transfers payments on our instruction.
5. Verification, GPS tracking, and delivery confirmation
- Every driver and shipper (for their first booking) completes identity verification before transacting.
- Active trips are GPS-tracked so the shipper can see real-time progress.
- Pickup and delivery are each confirmed with a one-time code (OTP) shown to one party and entered by the other, plus a photo of the cargo.
6. Conduct on the platform
You agree not to:
- Circumvent the platform to arrange payment or future bookings off-platform once introduced through Roundrop
- Share false identity, vehicle, or cargo information
- Use the Service to transport prohibited or illegal goods
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Attempt to manipulate ratings, pricing, or the dispute process
In-app chat is scoped to a specific booking and is monitored for patterns that indicate contact-sharing to protect both sides during an active transaction — see our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Cancellations, no-shows, and disputes
Time-graded cancellation terms, no-show handling, and refund percentages are set out in full on our Cancellation & Refundspage. Disputes (e.g. cargo condition, delivery disagreements) are reviewed by our operations team using the trip’s GPS, timestamp, and photo evidence trail.
8. Ratings
Drivers and shippers rate each other after every completed trip. Ratings are double-blind: hidden until both parties submit theirs, or automatically revealed after 14 days if only one side responds. Repeated low ratings or cancellations can lead to account suspension.
9. Liability
[REVIEW]Liability caps, cargo-damage responsibility allocation, and insurance disclaimers need legal drafting. Cargo insurance is not yet integrated (manual claims process only) — see our Delivery Policy for what is actually covered today. Do not publish broader liability language than that until this is reviewed. The Service facilitates connections between independent drivers and shippers. To the extent permitted by law, Roundrop is not liable for the acts or omissions of drivers or shippers using the platform, except where caused directly by our own negligence in operating the Service.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, show patterns of fraud or abuse (including no-show manipulation), or fail KYC verification. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Governing law
[REVIEW]Jurisdiction/courts and arbitration clause to be finalised with counsel. These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be notified in-app; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
